On July 18, 2024, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit issued two opinions affirming IPR wins for G&S client Neonode Smartphone LLC, confirming the patentability of Neonode Smartphone’s U.S. Patent No. 8,095,879. The second ruling, in Case No. 23-1638, affirmed the PTAB’s Final Written Decision confirming the patentability of all challenged claims of the ‘879 Patent in an IPR filed by Google LLC. G&S co-founding partner Phil Graves argued the cases before the Federal Circuit. G&S is also representing Neonode Smartphone in pending litigation against Samsung and Apple alleging infringement of the ‘879 patent.
