On June 3, 2026, the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board issued a Final Written Decision on Remand confirming the patentability of claim 15 of G&S client Smart Mobile Technologies’ U.S. Patent No. 8,472,936. The decision was issued in IPR2022-00981. G&S co-founding partner Greer Shaw represented Smart Mobile in the matter. G&S is concurrently representing Smart Mobile in pending litigation against Apple alleging infringement of the ‘936 patent as well as other Smart Mobile patents.
